Do you want to connect the POCKET READER to some other computer than a PC? Here you find circuit diagrams for the required cables or adapters.
FIf you like to deploy the POCKET READER for your own projects: You find the spezifikation of the communication interface (serial connection POCKET READER <> PC or handheld) here.
(Here you find ready-made software.)
USB adapter |
--- | Macs
which have no standard serial interface, but provide only
a USB interface, can connect to the POCKET READER via a USB-serial-converter. Note that the converter must support low baud
rates (down to 300Bd) and supply
an (emulated) standard serial port such as modem or printer port (the 'Comm
Toolbox' is currently not supported by the PReader software). We have tested Keyspan USA-28x and CompuCable iDock, which both worked fine. We have found out that Belkin adapters are not compatible. See also the FAQ. USB connection with PCs has not been tested by Siemens. |
